ABOUT SOUTHWEST SCOLIOSIS AND SPINE INSTITUTE
To begin with, Richard Hostin, MD, Devesh Ramnath, MD, Ishaq Y. Syed, MD, Shyam Kishan, MD, and Kathryn Wiesman, MD comprise the expert spine doctors at the Southwest Scoliosis and Spine Institute (SWSI). Furthermore, the Scoliosis Institute prioritizes diagnosis, treatment, and care for scoliosis, complex spine, and revision surgery.
At our world-renowned spine center, research meets patient care. For example, we actively conduct research to ensure an evidence-based approach exists for all of our patient treatment plans. For instance, we strongly believe in research and that’s why we have our very own research team. As a result, our research brings a wealth of clinical and research expertise to help treat our patients. Above all, our research team conducts investigator-initiated and sponsored research. The goal is to share fact-based evidence for the advancement of worldwide spine care. In view of this proactive approach to research, our fellowship-trained and board-certified doctors have a huge advantage when it comes to a correct and successful diagnosis and treatment.
To clarify, we always start with nonsurgical treatments for children and adults with scoliosis, spondylolisthesis, and other complex spinal diseases. Because we have the expertise and a long history of focusing on scoliosis and complex spine cases, we can offer a broad range of research-based treatment options, starting with a conservative one.
In addition, we pride ourselves on patient education. In view of this, each patient is given plenty of time with their doctor to discuss any symptoms or concerns as the doctors devise the most successful treatment. Finally, our doctors always take the time needed to help our patients understand their condition and explain the best treatment plan available.
Mission Statement and Core Values
Our mission is to treat every patient who visits our institute as a potential lifetime patient. As such, we will always work hard to provide an accurate diagnosis and determine the very best treatment plan. Furthermore, our doctors and staff will communicate and encompass the utmost professionalism while embracing honesty and a deep concern for each patient. For instance, our values start with honesty, dependability, integrity, and treating every patient with the best and highest quality care. There is more on why to choose us.
