The Scoliosis and Spine Institute’s Plano TX office is located at the corner of 15th Street and Coit Rd. in Plano, Texas.  In addition, the Plano office is available by phone 5 days a week, and we have scheduled available clinics for our patients that prefer this Spine Center in Plano. Accordingly, please let us know which location is best for you when you call for an appointment!

Southwest Scoliosis and Spine Institute (SWSSI) is located on Coit Road one block north of 15th Street in Plano, Texas. Next, it is located in Building B. Also, there is valet parking in front to make it easier for our patients.

If taking President George Bush Highway westbound.

Take Coit Road exit and turn left onto Coit Road. Then continue straight past 15th Street. Then take the first right and then an immediate left to Building B. After parking your car, the entrance faces west and is under the portico. Once you get in the building, take the first right after the help desk. Finally, you will see the SWSI signage.

If taking President George Bush Highway eastbound.

Take Coit Road exit and turn right onto Coit Road. Then continue straight past 15th Street. Then take the first right and then an immediate left to Building B. ADULT SCOLIOSIS TREATMENT

Firstly, adult Scoliosis is a curve of the spine. In most patients, no surgery is needed; however, in patients who have an excessive curve and it compromises breathing or walking, surgery can help correct those complications. Also, adult Scoliosis can vary from a minor problem, where it just needs to be watched, to chronic pain and a severe deformity.

PEDIATRIC SCOLIOSIS Treatment for residents of

More often than not, children with scoliosis can be treated with a brace, but in cases where patients experience an increase in curvature and are in pain, surgery may be needed. For reasons unknown, girls are more prone to scoliosis in adolescence than boys.

Similarly, neuromuscular Scoliosis is a spinal curvature that occurs in children with cerebral palsy, muscular dystrophy, and spina bifida. For example, these types of disorders can prevent the spine from being properly supported by the muscles and lead to scoliosis and other abnormal curvatures of the spine.
