What If Your Insurance Company Does Not Accept Coverage Or You Are Out of Network?

Health Insurance LogoIf your insurance coverage and plan aren’t on our insurance-accepted list, or your Insurance Company considers it out-of-network, please don’t assume care with our doctors is out of reach. Call us first. Every patient’s situation is different, and a short phone conversation often reveals options that aren’t obvious from an insurance card alone.

Why It’s Worth Calling

Insurance coverage for scoliosis and complex spine care is rarely black-and-white. Some of the things we can help you understand on a quick call:

  • Out-of-network benefits: Many PPO plans cover a meaningful share of out-of-network specialist visits and surgeries, even when our practice isn’t formally in-network. You may have more coverage than you think.
  • Single-case agreements: For complex scoliosis, revision surgery, or cases where local in-network options are limited, some insurers will approve a one-time agreement to cover treatment with our doctors. We can walk you through whether this might apply to you.
  • Self-pay estimates: If you’re paying out of pocket, we’ll give you a clear, written estimate before any treatment. You have a federal right to receive one, and we take that seriously.
  • Help from your employer’s HR or benefits team. In some cases, employer-sponsored plans have flexibility that isn’t published anywhere. We can tell you what to ask.

About Payment Plans

We don’t offer payment plans. That said, every patient’s circumstances are different, and we’d rather have a conversation than turn someone away at the door. If cost is the only thing standing between you and the care you need, please call and let us talk it through with you. Sometimes there are options worth exploring on a case-by-case basis.

The Most Important Step

Pick up the phone. Call 214-556-0555 and ask to speak with our insurance coverage and billing team. Have your insurance card and a list of your symptoms or diagnosis ready. A 10-minute call will help, and always be more useful than hours spent guessing on your own.

You came to this page because you’re worried your insurance company will not approve your care. In most cases, insurance will cover the treatment. Let us help you figure out how.
